Erm...why 2 posts?
There is a problem with graphics in RR if you are playing on Win Vista or 7, I remember when I had Win XP graphics were brilliant but that's a general issue and I believe since game was made in 04 they never knew about newest versions of Windows...xD.
Btw has anyone ever tried RR on Linux?

Sorry for bumping myself)

My laptop is kinda slow right now. my laptop has shared graphic memory wich means it uses my ram too. I seem to remember years ago I changed the amount of dedicated space to improve my graphics performance. Now i can't find it anywhere .. googling forums doesn't help much, they talk about the bios but I seem to remember there was a section in the control panel to change the amount of ram used for calculating graphics. Anyone have an idea where I can find it or how I can make it bigger ? thanks

I can't get on LobbyChat. It comes up a white page saying "You are about to enter Robot Rage Lobby Chat, website has detected your browser and will load best website version for you, after you allow redirect." But doesn't go anywhere, nor loads anything.

This is not an RR issue * ..

But maybe someone can help me just the same. Circumstances created a partition on my harddisc where I normally have one large C: drive - wich I really like best - so i want to merge the new D: drive to the C: one. Can anyone help me ? I have been searching for software but even the "free" ones do not allow for merging

from social.technet.microsoft.com

"I’m assuming D is just a data partition and doesn’t contain the page file, boot files or a second operating system. If so, merge the partitions by removing D and extending C, as follows:

1. Back up to an external device any important data on D and, optionally, move the same important data from D to C.
2. Right-click Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management, then right-click the graphic of the D partition and select Delete. The partition returns to Unallocated for a Primary Partition or Free Space if it‘s a Logical Drive within an Extended Partition. Delete the partition if it is an Extended partition.
3. Now right-click the graphic of the C partition and select Extend."

Thanks Jork Smile D is not a logical volume so I can still just delete it right ? I don't understand the difference between unallocated and free space but as long as the space is not lost it's all good. I was also unsure if I should backup everything on C:/ since I am going to extend that volume, pretty scared I may do something that would be dumb but I guess I can try this. Partitions are a pain in the **** especially when you download large files onto the c drive> I will let you guys know if it worked or wait .. no I wont because my computer will be a smoking heap of ashes Smile

Update ..

every step worked fine exept the last Sad( The option to extend the C: volume is greyed out and it cannot be done. When I read your forum link again, someone actually describes this problem .. I could have saved myself the trouble. The problem is that the C: drive is on the left side to the D: drive and not the right side and therefore the C cannot be extended. What a bunch of crap lol. This is not simple at all. If anyone has an idea let me know !

If I still had win7 I could try to check what's wrong but I don't atm.
Unallocated is the same free space.
I'm assuming you didn't have the D partition before and do not have 2 hard drives.
What does it look like at this point? Can you still use the D partition to write files on it?

Yes that is correct. The repair dude who recovered my data created the partition and it's from a single drive. I have deleted the D: volume and easily set it back to new D: again, so I can put files there.

Newsflash* I am writing this to you from my second backup-laptop. I tried some free patition software and now the laptop cannot even boot !!! Sad I will have to pay again, to have it reinstalled ..

Do you guys have a resque boot disc with windows and fresh installed programs? and is it easy to make ?

If you bought windows shouldn't it come with CD?
Anyway, if you have a computer you can use to access internet try to download any windows you like and burn it to a CD. Then when done put the CD in the other comp and it should install windows if there is at least 1 partition it can be installed on, usually when you have one hard drive this means it will overwrite your OS.
I know something about this since I installed windows xp recently, last time it failed because I forgot to burn it to a CD.
This way you can have any OS you want if the computer you use is for personal use only, if it's "official" (meaning you use it for work) then you can have only licensed software on it (nevermind this part). I've screwed my PC many times, it's easier to work if you have two computers at hand so you can always fix the other one if you screw one of them.
